Lefty specialist

March 16, 2008

“Truth and Rumours” on si.com is reporting the Giants are willing to deal lefty specialist Steve Kline and the Yankees may be one of the interested parties. Personally, i would like to see Billy Traber getting a shot but having a proven MLB pitcher wouldn’t be a bad thing either.  The good news is that Kline is only signed through 2008 for 1.75 million but while the Giants wouldn’t be able to demand a top prospect in return, they may ask for Wilson Betemit for there gaping hole at third base. If that were the case, it may entice the Yankees seeing as Ensberg could back up A-Rod and Woodward could wind up as the utility man. Of course, this is all just my speculation but it would make for an interesting deal.

Hank

March 16, 2008

With his hankering(get it, funny eh?) for being the headline, Hank has once again been shooting his mouth off, this time at Jonathon Papelbon(Paplebon called him a pencil pusher, Hank replied calling him a mouse?). I’ve actually just about lost interest in Hank’s point of view on anything and everything, with any luck he’ll get some brotherly advice and become more of a silent partner. With only fifteen days until opening day, it would be nice to think that when the season starts the headlines will be made on the diamond.
