First win in the books

It may be a bit delayed, but it’s still just as welcome! A very quick game tonight I though, mind you it was a nice simple handoff from Wang to Joba to Mo. Not a bad combination, and they all looked fairly decent.  It was pretty funny to see how pissed Halliday was with Melky, first for just getting the homer over the short porch, then for taking a curtain call as he was in his wind for a pitch. Didn’t look to have affected his performance though, so we’ve still got to be delighted with picking up a win against someone who’s done well against the Yankees over his career.  Melky is the only contender for player of the game for me. He put together a great AB in the lead up to the homer, which came at a vital time in the game, when Halliday was really settling into a decent rhythm, not to mention the two, and almost three certain webgem plays he made. A very promising start for the youngster.  Anyways, it’s 3am here, and I’ve to be up scarily soon….. I’ll be missing tomorrow’s game, as I’m out of town for the night, but I’ll be back with some reaction after Thursday’s game.
